Booba takes on Muay Thaï!

“In the end, we all sink, it doesn’t matter, our soul will remain intact,” declared Booba in “6G”, while a wave of sand carried his ashes to a secret pantheon (in the visual). But what more can be said? After a memorable Stade de France performance, a final album “Ultra”, followed by the bold project “AD VITAM AETERNAM”, DUC continues to redefine the rap game. His house collaborations under Sublife, his new label, have sparked criticism from some “purists,” who, as early as the days of “0.9”, were questioning his use of autotune. With “Muay Thaï”, a track with unmistakably urban vibes, Booba maintains the legendary defiance that has followed him from “Temps Mort” to “AD VITAM AETERNAM”.

The production of “Muay Thaï” comes from Akiloe and Plyer. Akiloe has previously worked with Jayhanai on tracks like “Numero Uno” and “Trafic Inter”, while Plyer has contributed his beats to artists such as So La Lune, ASHE 22, Sean, and Uzi. The track begins with a soft vibe, but in its final moments, the instrumental shifts to a house sound. Booba delivers sharp punchlines, less gritty than usual, but still cutting to the bone:

  • “I’ll never be the best employee, I’ll fuck the boss’s mom. A glass of whisky in the Grail, I drown myself in an escort”
  • “I’ve already crossed the flames, I can’t burn myself anymore. I put tales before women, God can judge me”

The rapper, still shaking up the Rap Game with clashes, new releases, and forays into house music, has reached a point in his career where he has nothing left to prove. Booba does what he wants, unapologetically, and the results—both artistic and commercial—continue to speak for themselves.
