Moubarak with *”Le bien des nôtres”*!

Moubarak is currently signed to D’Or et de Platine, the iconic label headed by Jul. From the very start of his career, the Marseille rapper followed in the footsteps of his mentor, whose influence is so profound that his certifications even appear on the covers of his albums. However, it didn’t take long for Moubarak to carve out his own artistic identity. He boldly released a concept album with “Cicatrices”, heavily inspired by the genre pioneer, American Ghostface Killah. Later, he began to release increasingly eclectic tracks, blending various musical influences. For his highly anticipated return with “Le bien des nôtres”, he opted for an old-school production style paired with melancholic lyrics.

With “Le bien des nôtres”, Moubarak establishes himself further as a unique artist, seamlessly blending emotional depth with musical creativity.

The production of the album is handled by MLK, a renowned beatmaker known for his collaborations with Voleur2voleur and L’Amiral R on tracks like “Paris Sud” and “Indécis”. The sound is both dark and melancholic, enriched by a piano sample that perfectly complements the introspective atmosphere of the album.

In his tracks, Moubarak offers an honest reflection of his journey, expressing with a touch of nostalgia and wisdom the harsh realities of the streets: “I know a lot, but I keep it all to myself” and “I hold it in, I act ruthlessly”. His lyrics resonate as a clear-eyed reflection of his years spent in the streets of Marseille.

The visual, shot in subjective view, immerses us into Moubarak‘s intimate world, offering a visual journey through his landscapes and daily life. The director, who has worked on numerous clips for the artist, including “Bousiller Part 1”, “Trésor”, and “Corps Griffé”, also directed the clip for “Jungle” by MHD.
