Guy2Bezbar comes from Paris, more specifically from the neighborhood of Barbès, as his stage name subtly suggests. During an appearance on the show “En aparté”, the rapper reflected on this deliberate tribute to the working-class district that shaped both his personality and artistic identity. Ironically, Guy2Bezbar initially emerged through the French drill/trap wave, delivering raw and aggressive freestyles during his early years. But it was ultimately with the track “Monaco” — a much brighter and more celebratory record — that he experienced a true breakout moment, eventually earning a diamond certification.
Since then, the artist has continued stacking certifications and has established himself as one of the standout figures of the new generation of French rap. In 2025, he released the mixtape “Jeunesse Dorée”, featuring collaborations with Aya Nakamura, SDM, and KLN. Through this project, the rapper symbolically invites the jet set — or rather this so-called “golden youth” — into his own universe. During “En aparté”, he explained that the project’s title was first and foremost intended as “a positive message” aimed at young people from underprivileged neighborhoods. Historically excluded from the social elite associated with that expression, they are encouraged by the artist to claim their place within it, much like Kylian Mbappé did in his own field. Beneath the message, Guy2Bezbar mainly highlights the fact that working-class neighborhoods are filled with untapped talent simply waiting to be nurtured and recognized.
His latest mixtape was quickly certified gold. Now, the rapper returns with a brand new single titled “Tentation”, a direct nod to the iconic project by Passi, released during the early mainstream rise of French rap.
Guy2Bezbar returns with the single “Tentation”!
The instrumental for the track was produced by Junioralaprod. The multi-platinum producer has collaborated regularly with Guy2Bezbar, notably on tracks such as “Pay !”, “Nouvelle R”, “Bébé à moi”, and “Tapie”. Designed for nightlife atmospheres and late-night vibes, the production unfolds with an elegant, slow-burning, almost hypnotic energy. More importantly, it gives Guy2Bezbar the perfect space to showcase the laid-back melodic style that has become a defining element of his musical identity:
“You struggle to understand my feelings
I know how to handle it ’cause we’re perfectly in sync
I know my target well, I’ve never missed my shot”
The music video was directed by Kangal, with an especially refined artistic direction crafted by Lowkey Studio. The visual stands out thanks to its polished cinematography and almost film-like aesthetic. Throughout the video, Guy2Bezbar appears surrounded by luxury, nightlife, and celebration, embodying the glamorous atmosphere now closely tied to his public image. In recent years, Kangal has notably made a name for himself through several striking visuals for Houdi.
