Leto releases the single “So Bad”!

Leto has clearly reached a new level in his career. After releasing multiple volumes of his “Trap$tar” mixtape series, it was around the time he signed with Rec 118 that the rapper from Porte de Saint-Ouen revealed in an interview with Pascal Cefran on Mouv’ that “bailiffs were at his door”. Another artist would later say that from that moment on, driven by an unshakable survival instinct, Leto entered a whole new league. Since then, he’s been dropping projects at an impressive pace.

In January 2025, Leto released the much-anticipated album “Life”. During its debut week, the project sold nearly 5,000 copies—clear proof that his fanbase remains loyal and engaged.

Soon after, he dropped the single “So Bad”, a departure from his usual Chicago trap influences. In the “J’apprécie à moitié” interview with Fred on Skyrock, he openly acknowledged this stylistic shift.

The track’s instrumental was produced by Eduardo and Scvlra. The latter, a longtime collaborator of Leto, has previously worked on standout tracks like “Mozart Capitaine Jackson Épisode 2”, “Tout gâché”, and more recently “Sentiments, billets de 100” and “Je crois qu’ils ont pas compris”. For “So Bad”, Scvlra explores an unexpected afrobeat-inspired rhythm—an unusual choice for Leto, who’s typically known for his raw, street-rooted rap. But the gamble pays off: the track, with its chill and danceable vibe, feels like a breath of fresh air in his catalog.

Visually, the music video marks a major break from the gritty, urban aesthetic he’s often associated with. It features a vibrant choreography performed by guest dancers, and is directed by the acclaimed Arthur Keasy and produced by 4.17Prod. In recent months, Keasy has been behind visually striking videos like “Wine Slow” by Franglish and Kalash, “Hermès” by Gazo, and the iconic “Pélican” by L2B.
