Originally from Bois-Colombes, Kerchak traveled to Asnières-sur-Seine, near Rue Henri-Martin, to shoot an explosive track titled “D”, staying true to the raw energy of classic drill music. In January 2024, the artist made waves with his project “Saison 2”, featuring Ziak, Dinos, and Gambi. The project sold nearly 7,000 units in its first week, confirming his rapid rise as one of the most powerful forces in the new generation of French drill. Since then, Kerchak has continued to release new singles, strengthening his footprint on the national scene.
Kerchak drops “D” — a provocative nod to “Sarko.”
The track’s production is handled by ReZaa, Kopa, Mike Hertz, VLI_PIX, and PRODBYVOGO. ReZaa, who also contributed to “Saison 2”, previously worked with Bambino47 on “Countach”, while Kopa made his mark producing “I Bori La” by Himra, “Graah!” by La Mano 1.9, and “Defcon” by Jolagreen23. Together, they deliver a tense, high-impact production where pounding basslines meet dark, moody textures. Kerchak channels a controlled fury, blending ego-driven bars with social realism — a balance that defines his artistry. At the same time, he shows versatility, occasionally exploring softer tones as he did with Ziak on “T’aimerais.”
Here, the rapper offers his unfiltered perspective on street life — loyalty, rivalry, and survival. The writing is sharp, direct, and firmly grounded in the drill aesthetic. Shot in black and white and directed by Sponge Production, the video amplifies the track’s raw, cinematic intensity. The visuals play on contrasts — shadow and light, control and chaos — creating a timeless atmosphere. Sponge, one of the most in-demand visual teams in French rap today, also directed “SekenLand” by H. La Drogue and 1Pliké140 — in a similar vein — as well as “Cristalline” by Naza, offering a completely different, more colorful universe.
