Djadja & Dinaz deliver a romantic summer anthem with “À tes côtés”

June 27, 2026

Djadja & Dinaz are a rap duo from Meaux, France. Their story began in December 2014 with the release of the music video for “Laissez-nous faire notre biff”. The video, which featured a group of young men handling real firearms in a parking lot in the hometown of former French politician Jean-François Copé, sparked widespread controversy. French police arrested several people involved in the shoot, and some were sentenced to three months in prison. Despite the scandal, the unexpected media attention catapulted the duo into the spotlight. A few months later, Djadja & Dinaz released “On s’promet”, a project whose cover art depicts the two artists holding hands, symbolizing a promise to stay together throughout their careers.

More than a decade later, that promise remains intact. During an appearance on Fred Musa‘s Planète Rap while promoting “Terminal 7”, the duo explained that they have never considered pursuing separate careers, even though they occasionally record solo tracks on their albums. With “Terminal 7”, Djadja & Dinaz achieved the biggest opening week of their career, selling nearly 28,000 album-equivalent units during its first week. Now certified Platinum, the project further cements the duo’s status as one of the most consistent acts in French rap, thanks to both their artistic identity and their unwavering connection with their audience.

As they prepare for a new tour in 2026, Djadja & Dinaz have also unveiled the single “À tes côtés”, a sun-soaked record that perfectly fits the collection of summertime anthems scattered throughout their discography. Blending heartfelt melancholy with infectious hooks, the two artists from Meaux once again prove their ability to move effortlessly between introspective rap and lighter, feel-good records without losing their signature style.

The instrumental was produced by Sinay and MSBTZ, according to the official YouTube credits. MSBTZ previously collaborated with Djadja & Dinaz on “Terminal 7”, notably on “Plus Jamais” and “Barrière”. Meanwhile, Sinay has worked with Gambi on “Coachella” and “HE HE HE”, as well as with JRK19 on “Omerta 19”.

Driven by subtle baile funk-inspired percussion, delicate piano melodies and an airy production, the track leans more toward melodic vocals than straight rap. Still, Djadja & Dinaz retain the emotional melancholy that has become one of the duo’s trademarks. Through the song, they tell the story of a complicated love affair, balancing vulnerability, regret and devotion.

“If you put yourself in my shoes, you’d see I don’t really have a choice / I’m sinking, but I still keep moving forward.”

The music video was filmed in Lisbon, around the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge. Rather than portraying the main characters themselves, Djadja & Dinaz take on the role of narrators while two actors bring the love story to life on screen. The visual was directed by 10 Creation, a creative collective that has become one of the duo’s closest collaborators. Their previous work includes the videos for “À qui la faute ?”, “Les bases”, “Tu sais”, as well as “Pardon et Merci” by Dosseh and “Pure” by GLK and Gradur.
