Diddy Trix delivers a powerful visual diptych for “DOPE MUSIC VOL. 2”

Diddy Trix makes a strong comeback with his latest project, “DOPE MUSIC VOL. 2”—an EP where he breaks free from convention and fully embraces his creative instincts. Discovered in 2019 by DJ Kore, the rapper from Bondy opened up to YARD about his early beginnings: writing his first lyrics at the age of 11 and cutting his teeth with the Batare Gang. From day one, his sound has been deeply rooted in American hip-hop culture.

Diddy Trix drops “DOPE MUSIC VOL. 2” with no features and no flashy promo campaign—just solid execution and attention to detail, staying true to the essence of his artistry.

To accompany the release, he unveils a two-part conceptual video: “What Can I Do” and “Rue Fontaine”. This diptych contrasts two distinct atmospheres: the first is jazz-infused with strong New York vibes, while the second dives into the raw, street-oriented energy of Atlanta.

The production is handled by Prodbykwizz, who also produced the track “Movie” for Diddy Trix. The first part of the video carries a smooth, jazzy ambiance reminiscent of “Jazzmatazz” by the legendary Guru. The second is more intense and modern, aligning perfectly with the raw, signature sound that has defined Diddy Trix‘s music since day one.

In “What Can I Do”, the mood is introspective and almost melancholic, with a striking line: “Je sais même plus les coups, à tout moment je peux canner”. In contrast, “Rue Fontaine” sees Diddy Trix in full egotrip mode: “Baby je ne suis pas ton baby boy, je dois brasser non-stop.”

The video, directed by DeptVisual, perfectly captures the tension between these two artistic worlds—balancing chill atmospheres with urban grit. Known for his previous collaborations with Koro, the director once again proves his ability to translate an artist’s vision with precision and style.
