RK and Ninho in Sale état!

In 2024, RK made a strong impact with his project DLPDA, which sold nearly 10,000 copies in its very first week. It marked another milestone for an artist who had already earned his first platinum record before even reaching adulthood. Now, the rapper is preparing to open a new chapter with his mixtape TOP BOY (Tome 1), set for release on October 10. Inspired by a hit TV series, the project will feature an all-star lineup including Ninho, Jul, IDS (L2B) and Genezio. To set the tone, RK has already unveiled a first collaboration with Ninho.

Ninho, for his part, keeps stacking accolades, collecting gold and diamond records since the release of Destin. True to his storytelling-driven writing style, he builds a narrative thread that connects his tracks and album titles into chapters of a larger personal saga. With N.I, he portrayed himself as a child staring at a photo of his adult self — a powerful metaphor for his childhood dreams finally achieved. This sense of narrative doesn’t limit his versatility: whether on smooth urban melodies or hard-hitting rap bangers, Ninho and RK prove to be the perfect match.

The production behind this standout track is crafted by Biggie Joe and Le White. Both producers are already familiar names, having worked with RK on 200m2. More recently, Le White made waves with Djandjou, produced for Bolémvn and La Mano 1.9. Their melodic signature comes alive here with a subtle progression: the track closes on two powerful a cappella verses, cypher-style, as the rappers, surrounded by their crew, remind everyone exactly where they come from.

Lyrically, tinged with melancholy, the song explores life in the streets:

I need a house back home, I’m tired of hearing the door break under the ram
My baby, my past, my money, my hustle, I was in the game before I was a boss, don’t know if you knew

The video was directed by Digital Nak, a major figure in today’s rap scene. Blending stylish Paris locations with a freestyle-driven finale, the clip highlights the chemistry between RK and Ninho. In recent months, Digital Nak has also directed striking visuals such as Coluche by HMZ, Wagyu du Jap’ by HMZ, and Tour du monde by Soolking and L2B. With this latest release, he further cements his role at the heart of French rap’s visual identity.
