Following a high-profile album with Gazo, Tiakola is back with full force with his mixtape “BDLM Vol 1”. This new release features an impressive array of collaborations, including KLN, Genezio, Prototype, La Mano 1.9, Saaro, Merveille, SDM, Liim’s, Ryflo, Oksoow, Jolagreen23, H.K, Monsieur Nov, RSKO, Hamza, Jey Brownie, Sonny Rave, and MC Cebezinho. The mixtape has already garnered nearly 37,124 sales across all platforms in just two weeks of release.

Invited by Léa Salamé on France Inter, Tiakola took part in an engaging interview with the press. Le Monde has labeled him as “France’s number one rapper,” while Rolling Stone Magazine describes him as the “rising star of French rap.” In response, Tiakola commented, “It makes me happy, but I don’t pay attention to all that. Whether it’s number 1, number 2, or number 3… it’s just music that I’m selling.” His meteoric rise, reminiscent of Gazo‘s, remains impressive. Tiakola has just unveiled the visuals for the first track featuring KLN!

The track’s production is crafted by Dany Synthé and Marabou. A staple in the French urban music scene, Dany Synthé has worked with Gims on “Sapés comme jamais”, Booba on “Petite fille”, and produced “La Puissance” for MHD. This energetic and vibrant production brings a festive vibe, perfectly suiting Tiakola and KLN as they enjoy the rhythm.

Tiakola delves into an egotistical flow with finesse, avoiding clichés, with lyrics like: “At night, I sleep with dreams full in my head; since I was young, I’ve been fighting to make them real / So much love in my shows, it drives me, and even tired, I’ll keep going.” KLN follows with: “I’ve stopped dozing every day / When the cat’s away, the mice dance / I’m racking up the rewards / I’m fully in my calling.”

The visual accompaniment, taking fans behind the scenes of “BDLM”, is directed by Axel Haze, known for impactful visuals. He’s also directed the music video for “GO” by Rim’K and Kekra, as well as “Violet” by Uzi and RK.
