PtiTarnais takes his stage name from his personal journey, split between Paris and the Tarn region where he grew up. His nickname is a tribute to the area that has shaped him, reflecting both his roots and his identity.
From an early age, PtiTarnais was drawn to urban music, influenced by legends like IAM and Tupac. At the same time, he developed an appreciation for French variety artists such as Zaz.
He began writing his own lyrics as a teenager, and in 2022, he caught the attention of MKB, an independent label that believed in his potential and signed him to help develop his career.
In 2023, PtiTarnais released three tracks, including “Ptit Parasol”, blending rap with melody. Event organizers were immediately impressed by his stage presence and charisma in front of crowds. With more than twenty concerts and appearances at festivals, he quickly gained solid live performance experience.
“Ça ira” is a bridge between the golden age of hip hop from the ’90s and modern-day sounds. The track features a nostalgic flow, paired with a beat and chorus that are very much in tune with today’s music. The song is uplifting with its lyrics, but also catchy and unforgettable!
