A once-in-a-lifetime experience for the artists
For many, this second edition of Open Mic was more than just another stage performance. It was a real opportunity to live out their dream and step into a professional world that’s often hard to access. Rappers, singers, musicians, and performers all came together before an attentive audience, guided by the Ghost Prod and TRACE teams in an atmosphere where pressure faded away and passion took over.

Like her, many discovered through Open Mic something far greater than a performance — a human journey, a stage memory that stays for life.
Marseille — a city of openness and rhythm
The choice of Marseille was no coincidence. With its rich diversity, layered identity, and deep-rooted connection to music, Marseille perfectly embodies the Open Mic spirit. This second edition carried the scent of the sea, the warmth of the crowd, and that unmistakable local energy — somewhere between the Old Port, the northern districts, and dreams from far beyond.
Under the direction of Ghost Prod, artists went through rehearsal sessions, video shoots, freestyles, and filmed interviews — all within a professional environment worthy of major productions. Every detail mattered: lighting, sound, stage design — and above all, the attentive support of the teams.
TRACE & Ghost Prod: opening the doors to professionalism
This second edition marked a real step forward. TRACE and Ghost Prod aimed higher — beyond the show itself, it’s now a full-fledged artist development program. Participants received guidance from industry professionals in music, communication, and performance. Some were even scouted for future collaborations within the TRACE network.

“Open Mic is a school for both art and life. You learn to manage your emotions, to present yourself, and to believe in your own power,” said a young rapper from Brussels. Far from typical contests, the show is rooted in transmission, solidarity, and the celebration of francophone diversity.
A showcase for urban francophone culture
Broadcast on Trace Africa, Trace Urban, and Trace Outre-Mer, this Marseille edition reached an international audience. The clips shared via @trace_france and the artists’ social media quickly gathered thousands of views, proving that the independent francophone scene continues to attract growing attention worldwide.
A launchpad, a family, a vision
With this second edition, Open Mic cements its reputation as an essential platform for emerging francophone talent. Through the passion, precision, and warmth of the TRACE and Ghost Prod teams, the show has become much more than a format — it’s a family. A family of artists who support each other, grow together, and for many, describe their time in Marseille as “the most beautiful artistic experience of their lives.”
