Driven by the success of Holo Horema, Saifond is entering a new phase with an end-of-year tour spanning Africa and Europe. From Senegal to England, via Belgium, The Gambia and several cities in Guinea, the artist is continuing a trajectory that reflects a clear ambition: to place Guinean music within an increasingly international dynamic.
The release of Holo Horema quickly took things to another level for Saifond. Since the 14-track project was released on September 18, the album has generated strong activity across streaming platforms and has gradually reached an audience extending well beyond Guinea’s borders.
Within just a few days, Holo Horema surpassed 5 million streams on Spotify and more than one million plays on Audiomack. Those figures reflect the enthusiasm surrounding the project, but they do not tell the whole story. Several tracks from the album have also appeared in trending charts across different African markets and among diaspora audiences.
Guinean music designed to travel beyond borders
With Holo Horema, Saifond continues an approach already visible in his previous projects: bringing together sounds rooted in his musical heritage with contemporary production capable of reaching a broader audience.
The album’s 14 tracks explore themes that are both familiar and universal: love, relationships, everyday life, personal struggles and certain social realities. It is a way for the artist to maintain a strong local identity while giving his music a resonance that extends well beyond the Guinean context.
This openness is also reflected in the collaborations featured on the project. Saifond worked with several artists from the West African scene, including Djelykaba Bintou and AK from Guinea, Paulo Chakal from Côte d’Ivoire, and Hyce from Nigeria.
The track “KALI”, recorded with Djelykaba Bintou, stands out as one of the project’s first visible successes. The song notably reached number one on YouTube trends in France for several days and also appeared in trending charts in other countries.
Another track drawing attention, “Welaylan”, featuring AK, is also contributing to the momentum surrounding the release of Holo Horema.
This international growth builds on an already significant digital presence. Saifond became the first Guinean artist to pass the one-million-subscriber mark on YouTube, a milestone that reflects the position he has established within Guinea’s music landscape.
From Senegal to England
It is in this context that Saifond has announced a new series of concerts. Presented as an end-of-year tour, the run of shows will allow the artist to reconnect with audiences across several stages in Africa and Europe.
The tour will begin on October 24 in Kédougou, Senegal, followed by a second date on October 25 in Tenkoto. On October 30 and 31, Saifond will continue in Belgium as part of PANAF, an event that will notably give him the opportunity to connect with diaspora audiences.
The schedule will then move back to West Africa. On November 21, the artist is expected in The Gambia, before heading to Guinea for a show in Siguiri on November 26.
A few days later, Saifond will return to Europe for a date in England on December 5. It is another step that underlines the growing importance of the diaspora in the development of his audience.
The final announced date will carry particular significance. On December 31, Saifond will meet his audience at the Palm Camayenne in Conakry to close out the year and celebrate the arrival of 2027.
A new milestone for Saifond
More than just a succession of concerts, this tour comes at a pivotal moment in Saifond’s career. The rapid success of Holo Horema has given him greater visibility and confirmed the ability of his music to circulate beyond the Guinean market.
From Senegal to Belgium, from The Gambia to England, with stops in Siguiri and Conakry, the announced itinerary above all draws a map that reflects the artist’s ambitions: to take his music further and strengthen his connection with a diaspora that has become an essential audience for the Guinean scene.
With Holo Horema, Saifond appears to have reached a new stage in his career. The next question is how that digital momentum will translate on stage throughout a tour that is shaping up to be one of the key moments of his end-of-year schedule.
