Soso Maness “Dans le block” !

Soso Maness continues his series of freestyles “Dans le block”. In the latest episode, he pays tribute to his Font Vert neighborhood in Marseille with “13014”. In 2022, the artist released the project “À l’aube” featuring Mac Tyer, Josman, Vladimir Cauchemar, Maes, and Dinos. He presents a freestyle “DLB13014” in his characteristic style, combining elegance with exceptional phrasing.

Since his beginnings, the artist has explored various musical horizons. With his flagship track “Pétrouchka” featuring PLK, he revives a classic from the Red Army Choir. This track is quite catchy, but the Marseille artist returns to his roots in “DLB13014”. That’s the essence of the freestyles “Dans le block”.

The instrumental composition of the track is by “Unprediktable”. This producer, originally from Viviers in the South of France, composed the track “Blanche” by Maes featuring Booba, as well as “Game Over” by SDM. The composition is quite classic, with a style that allows the artist to deliver raw, powerful verses.

Some may only know Soso Maness for his hit “Zumba Cafew”, but the artist has a sharp pen with very subtle punchlines like “Y’a des Marseillais qui ont des terrains à Paris” and “Je connais des jeunes de 20 ans, on dirait ils en ont 30”. With street credibility and solid storytelling, Soso Maness returns to the scene with his freestyles “Dans le block”.

The clip was directed by Thomas Deschamps (Dech’). With a black-and-white finish and a rather dark visual, the director presents an interesting street clip, far from the usual standards. The director has also collaborated with Moubarak and Jul on the clip “Dolce Vita”.
