Oldpee has established himself as one of the central figures of 13Block, the iconic crew from Sevran. When Stavo announced that there would be no “BLO III”, it marked the end of an era. Soon after, each member began carving out his own path. While Zed paid tribute to “Malcolm” and Stavo continued his “TVX” series, Oldpee opened a new chapter with the project “Je m’appelle Sidi”. A dense and cohesive record, driven by strong collaborations with So La Lune, Hamza, Guy2Bezbar, Gradur, DA Uzi, and Freeze Corleone.
Among the standout tracks, “Tant de signes”, featuring Zed and Dinos, quickly gained momentum. Shot in Dubai, the video supported the song’s steady rise, securing solid placement across rotations and streaming playlists.
Today, the artist returns with a more hard-hitting approach on “Burn Pit”. From the outset, 13Block embodied the rise of trap and drill in France, following in the footsteps of artists such as Kaaris, Ixzo, and Kalash Criminel. An aesthetic born in the streets of Sevran, shaping a raw and uncompromising sound. Beneath a blazing red sun, Oldpee reignites that flame, reminding listeners that rap remains a true “Noble Art”, where street reality meets stylistic precision.
Oldpee is on “Burn Pit” mode!
The track’s production is handled by Marty Santi. Signed to Goldstein Records, the Seine-et-Marne-born producer has notably worked alongside Jazzy Bazz, as well as crafting “Plus le même” for Jolagreen23 and “Tout simplement” for Limsa d’Aulnay. Here, the minimalist production leaves room for lyrical tension, backing Oldpee in full egotrip mode:
“It’s tempting to know what happens behind the curtains / unfortunately there are many brothers I won’t live to see grow old”
“We’ve eaten stones, I don’t care about diamonds — why would I hold back?”
The video was directed by 6real. Bathed in warm tones dominated by a crimson sun, the visual opts for a stripped-down aesthetic: a vacant lot, a car circling in motion, and the rapper standing at the center of the frame. A simple yet striking piece of direction. 6real previously made his mark with “Focuss” and “Même endroit” for Rvzmo.
