Leto Drops “Lulemon”, His New Summer Single

With “Life”, followed by “Thug Ceremony”, Leto has showcased the two sides of his current sound. In 2025, the rapper, who first emerged as a member of trap duo PSO Thug, expanded his musical palette with more melodic, less street-oriented tracks. The project moved 4,033 equivalent units in its first week, well below the numbers he was accustomed to. Some felt that part of his core audience simply didn’t follow him as he ventured beyond his usual rap sound. A few months later, in 2026, he released “Thug Ceremony”, returning to his grittier, street-oriented roots. For Leto, this period has clearly been one of experimentation.

That experimentation ultimately paid off this year, as Leto earned a platinum certification for his slightly Afrobeat-infused single “Pineapple”. Leto may still be exploring new territory, but this latest milestone suggests that the process is beginning to bear fruit.

Five years ago, while appearing on Yard around the release of “100 Visages”, Leto discussed the differences between performing as part of PSO Thug and pursuing a solo career. When the journalist asked whether he felt more comfortable on his own, Leto explained that the two experiences were actually very different. For obvious reasons, being in a group means you can sometimes “rest on your laurels”, whereas as a solo artist, you “have to do everything yourself.” Leto found that responsibility far more motivating, even though he still loved making music with Aero, his partner in PSO Thug. He also suggested that, as his solo career took off with “100 Visages”, part of his strategy was to collaborate with as many artists as possible.

The rapper has just come off a summery collaboration with Rim’K on “Charbon & Diamant”. Now, Leto is back with a new single, “Lulemon”, following a similar direction: a touch of smoothness right in the middle of summer.

Leto sets the mood for summer with “Lulemon”!

The track’s production comes courtesy of Raed (Raedwav) and Sclvra. The two producers have been working alongside Leto since the early days of his career and are signed to his Winterfell Music label. They have produced several of his latest releases, including “Charbon & Diamant” with Rim’K, “Chérie Coco” and the platinum-certified “Pineapple”, as well as his much more street-oriented collaboration with La Mano 1.9.

Blending electronic music samples, an energetic rhythm and a sung hook, “Lulemon” stands out as something genuinely different in Leto’s catalogue. On the track, he tells the story of his relationship with a vixen, without slipping into excessive romance: a thug love story in the purest rap tradition:

The visuals were directed by Kenzy Amellal, as part of his “Shoot By i-Phone” concept. In the video, Leto is more blinged-out than ever, moving between a yacht and a dream villa under the blazing summer sun. Kenzy Amellal first made a name for himself by shooting the streets of northern Paris, particularly around Belleville and Pyrénées, bringing one of the capital’s liveliest neighbourhoods to life through his lens. He has already collaborated with Leto on several occasions, including the videos for “Titanic” and “Chérie Coco”.
