On November 22, La Fouine unveiled his ambitious project “Capitale du crime radio”, featuring collaborations with prominent artists such as Dinos, RK, Youssoupha, Leto, and Koba LaD. Despite having announced his retirement multiple times, especially following the release of “Bénédictions”, La Fouine proves he remains a key figure in French rap, alongside his contemporaries Booba and Rohff. Active since the early 2000s, these artists continue to dominate the scene they helped shape. With “Capitale du crime radio”, La Fouine explores a variety of styles and demonstrates an impressive ability to adapt to modern trends. Among the standout tracks, the rapper has revealed the captivating visuals for his collaboration with Koba LaD.

The instrumental composition of this track is crafted by a team of five beatmakers: Le Marabout, Kan, Lamborgwhilly, Yna Beats, and Vislar. Le Marabout, known for his collaborations with Ninho on tracks such as “Bad”, as well as with WeRenoi on “Chaleur” and “Franklin Saint”, brings a unique touch to the production. Kan, another frequent collaborator of Ninho and Niska, has notably contributed to tracks like “Coco” and “Opiniel”. Supported by melodic piano notes and a recurring sample, this production evokes the classics of La Fouine while incorporating a modern melodic twist.

The track is firmly rooted in the egotrip genre, with sharp and impactful punchlines where both artists assert themselves with confidence:
“You might move faster when your friends betray you / Only her ‘seuf’ applauds me, she’s leaning on the barrel of the .38 / Me too, bro, I really wanted to dribble them like a lefty”
and:
“We want the pollen, Goldman’s money, minimum Arnault, minimum Cohen / With the devil, they make collabs, they co-ed.”

The music video, shot in a studio by Rayvamos and Dima75019, features a polished aesthetic. Rayvamos, already known for directing the visuals for “Un crime” by Glenn Smith, continues to showcase his cinematic style.
