Fresh rose to fame as the first winner of the rap competition show Nouvelle École. Broadcast on Netflix, this major showcase of Francophone rap gave him what he describes as a “crash course” in the music industry — an experience he now calls a “valuable asset”.
Since that breakthrough, the rapper has kept the momentum going with a string of impactful releases. After dropping his album À l’abri and the mixtape P.M.R., he returns this June with a brand-new EP titled On verra demain. It’s a sharp and introspective project, featuring the track “Money = Problem”, accompanied by a striking visual.
For Fresh, “Money = Problem”!
This track blends authenticity with intensity. On production duties: PHNX, Wavy, and Natewkeys, the latter known for his work with Joé Dwèt Filé on tracks like “4 Kampe II”, “Abîmé”, “Ça va”, and “Ginger”.
In this freestyle-like performance, Fresh delivers razor-sharp flows and raw street bars. The energy he channels once again confirms his ability to move effortlessly between gritty rap codes and controlled spontaneity.
The music video, produced by Divercity Records, amplifies the track’s impact. The Belgian production company, a long-time collaborator of Fresh, is also behind the short film Si j’étais, written by ZEZ XXI. Selected at four festivals, the film stirred conversation and sparked controversy upon release.
