On April 18, L2B unveiled the second book in their ambitious trilogy Nés pour briller (*Born to Shine*). While most artists kick off their careers with a basic intro project, L2B took a far bolder route: a three-part series, with each chapter spotlighting one member’s artistic identity.

The first installment, focused on KLN, sold nearly 16,000 units across all formats, according to SNEP. With close to 5,000 units moved in its first week, it marked the strongest debut of their career so far.

On April 18, D2 stepped into the spotlight with an equally polished second volume. For this occasion, the group joined forces with rising stars KeBlack and Genezio, delivering a punchy collaboration that reflects both the moment and their shared energy.

This unique format gives each member the space to highlight their own distinct flavor and fully express their creative personality. During their appearance on Kronos on Skyrock, the trio shared a few anecdotes — including the fact that the most unexpected place they’ve visited together was a depot in Liège, though they kept the details under wraps. Their love for the U.S. also came through clearly in the conversation.

There’s no denying it: L2B is bringing a refreshing new vibe to the French rap scene — and Universal clearly saw it coming.

The track’s production is in expert hands: Dany Synthé and Puch’K. Backed by Universal, the team spared no expense. Dany Synthé is the producer behind major hits like Sapés comme jamais by Maître Gims and Niska (which won a Victoire de la Musique), as well as Petite fille by Booba, a landmark in French urban music. He also made waves with MHD’s iconic La puissance, and more recently with tracks for Shay, Davido, Werenoi, Lil Tjay, and Dinos on Performante.

Puch’K is no stranger to the group either — he previously collaborated with L2B on Pélican, Movie, and Tout pour l’équipe. This latest track stays true to their signature blend of afrobeat energy, positive vibes, and streetwise authenticity.

Despite their rapid rise, the trio remains grounded. As they rap in a reflective verse:

“I pulled up again in the Benz, stayed up all night just to earn my pay
Millions of streams, but still in the binks, you know I hate to flex, I hate the fame”

With wild nights, flashy cars, jewelry, and good vibes, the video brings it all together. Directed by Nadym for Digital Nak, the clip showcases the signature style of a filmmaker also known for Soolking’s Que Miras Bobo (a tribute to Messi), and for Fame by Zed and Green Montana.
