L2B, KLN, and Niska bring the “Tendance” vibe!
A sharp and powerful production
The instrumental for this track is crafted by a renowned trio of beatmakers: Gaby, Zafy, and Bloody. The latter is best known for producing the hit “Dans l’espace” by Gambi and Heuss L’Enfoiré. Gaby, on the other hand, is behind “Protect” for Tiakola and “Yebisa Bango” for Jungeli. For the latter track, he collaborated with Zafy, a beatmaker who has worked with Joé Dwet Filé and is already credited alongside Tayc, Ninho, and Niska. This production blends classical influences with modern elements, creating a powerful and dynamic beat.
Razor-sharp punchlines and unapologetic egotrip
The rappers deliver a series of hard-hitting punchlines in a fully assumed egotrip style. The song revolves around a simple yet effective concept: being “trendy”.
“The phone rings / Don Mitch, I’m trending / During an identity check, he takes a pic for his kids / I keep doing showcases, gotta raise the fee / They’re not real threats, they’re just playing street, we’re deep in it full-time”
KLN even throws in a reference to the classic “Window Shopper” by 50 Cent:
“I’m not a window shopper, I’m not a window shopper shopper / Gunna in the tiop, tiop / Dom Pérignon in my cup / In the club / I’m in Tchemi, I don’t give a f***.”
Meanwhile, Niska remains true to the sharp technique that has defined his success since “Commando”.
A visual spectacle of luxury and extravagance
Directed by La Crème Film, the video showcases the rappers in an opulent setting that perfectly reflects the song’s theme. From five-star hotels to high-end restaurants and lavish jet-set parties, L2B, KLN, and Niska fully embody the image of success and luxury. La Crème Film has an impressive track record, having previously directed visuals for “Collabo” by Ninho and Niska, “Pyramide” by Werenoi and Damso, as well as “Blue” by Kaneki, Naps, and Ninho.
