The production of “L’Appât du gain” is credited to the talented MCL and Le Marabout. The latter, a renowned beatmaker, has made his mark through collaborations with major figures in French rap. He notably worked with Ninho on “Bad” and contributed to the joint album by Niska, adding his unique touch to tracks like “UnRappeurCaRap#1” and “Opinel 12”. He also left his imprint on La Fouine‘s track “U Can’t See Me”. With its catchy rhythm and captivating vibe, “L’Appât du gain” fits perfectly into Cheu-B‘s musical universe.

The two rappers deliver punchy lines with energy and a celebratory vibe:

“D’après la Rolly, là c’est mon heure, j’suis calé / J’fais la météo, le game j’ai changé / Si j’m’occupe d’elle, elle va jamais m’oublier”

“Elle m’appelle souvent / j’suis son médicament / Veut qu’on s’voit souvent, j’suis son médicament / J’fais l’oseille j’suis pas au tel-hô, j’fais l’oseille j’suis pas au tel-hô.”

These lyrics notably reference the iconic track “Médicament” by Niska and Booba.

The music video for “L’Appât du gain”, filmed during a live concert, was directed by Max Dacheux, a filmmaker renowned for his expertise in live event captures. Familiar with major stages, he has worked on events such as the Festival Garorock and directed music videos like “Prime” for Franglish and “Bikini” for Favé. This immersive visual highlights Cheu-B‘s on-stage energy and brings his artistic vision to life.
