Rim’K, also known as “Tonton,” stands as a key pioneer of French rap, co-founding the influential group 113 and being a longstanding member of the Mafia K’1 Fry collective. Originating from the Orly–Choisy–Vitry area, he has continuously evolved his style while staying true to his heritage, playing a pivotal role in the genre's growth and recognition within the French music scene.
Rim’K rose to prominence as a founding member of 113, helping the group secure one of the earliest Rap Victories at the Victoires de la Musique awards—an important milestone when rap was still categorized under urban music. This achievement marked a significant moment for French rap’s industry recognition.
His recent works showcase both artistic longevity and innovation. From collaborations with Limsa d’Aulnay on the evocative “Les Enfants perdus” (2026) to the poignant “Rose Blanche” (2025) and dynamic tracks like “Numéro 23” with Genezio, Rim’K consistently merges contemporary sounds with authentic storytelling. His 2025 EP Run includes powerful collaborations such as “Café noisette” and the title track featuring SDM, evidencing his constant evolution.
