The company Believe now has an African branch with We Africa, and it’s with pride that Mosty becomes the first signee of this 100% African label. Originally from Côte d’Ivoire, Mosty has long been rooted in Essonne. Her passion for music began at a young age, but her youth wasn’t without its challenges; she faced bullying from her peers due to her originality. Reflecting on that time, she states: “Hard knocks, bullying can either extinguish personalities or forge characters of titanium. Mosty undeniably belongs to the latter category.” Today, the young singer returns to the forefront with her fiery track “God Bless Africa”.
Mosty proclaims it loudly: “God Bless Africa”!
She particularly admires Aya Nakamura, whose success may have revitalized Afro and Caribbean music in France, following the footsteps of acts like Magic System in the 2000s and Kassav before that.
The musical production of this track is signed by the talented YNA Beats. He has already made his mark, notably working with Moubarak, protégé of Jul, for the track “Sous Chicha”, and also with Cinco for “BB”. For Mosty, he crafts a production with Baile Funk influences, bold and dynamic. Mosty channels all her love for Africa through this track, with great grace and elegance.
As for the video, it is the work of Mansa Films, a young production that beautifully captures the landscapes of Ivolire that accompanied the singer on her journey.
