Damso reaches nearly 1.3 million streams in just 24 hours!

The career of Damso began in 2016 with the bold project “Batterie Faible”, shortly after his notable appearance on “Nero Nemesis” with the track “Pinocchio”. This Belgian artist then signed a three-project deal with 92i, marking the start of his rapid rise. He followed up with three projects, all critically acclaimed, including “Ipséité”, which was quickly certified diamond. After parting ways with 92i, Booba even joked about the success of Damso‘s second album, stating: “I bought a house with Ipséité’s money”. In just eight years, the rapper from Brussels has released only four albums, the latest being “Vieux Sons”, which features previously unreleased tracks.

The album “Vieux Sons” includes 11 tracks, composed of previously recorded but never-released material by Damso. The last track, “Cosmos”, was created when the artist behind “Dieu ne ment jamais” was just 16 years old.

Regarding the album’s credits, Damso remains enigmatic, not revealing the list of beatmakers who collaborated on the project. Although Dems had announced his retirement multiple times on social media, particularly in the track “William”: “Last album or maybe not, life will tell”, he ultimately surprised everyone with his return. It is still unclear whether “Vieux Sons” marks the much-anticipated comeback of Damso or if he plans to unveil another project. One thing is certain: he has crushed the competition on Spotify with nearly 1.3 million streams in 24 hours. A gold certification seems inevitable!
