On May 31st, Zed released his highly anticipated album “Malcolm”, a bold nod to Spike Lee’s iconic film “Malcolm X”. The album shines with stellar collaborations with the likes of SDM, Nekfeu, Laylow, and Ziak, and also features a key track with DJ Kore and his protégé Zola. Recently, the talented member of 13Block unveiled “Nephilim”, an enchanting musical piece that distinctly stands out from the rest of the album with its ethereal ambiance.

The soundtrack of this captivating song is crafted by LDS Production, PSK, and Traplysse. LDS Production, known for boosting Maes’s early career with hits like “Madrina” and “Blanche”, joins forces with PSK and Traplysse who contributed to Ninho‘s latest album with tracks “Blue Story” and “Bon qu’à ça”. Together, they’ve created a melody that embodies the softness of summer and invites daydreaming.

In his lyrics, Zed oscillates between introspection and proclamation with a style that elegantly swings between rap and singing. His ability to convey complex emotions makes him a unique voice within 13Block.

“We won’t always push you, but you know it,
You’re not happy working, you are quite an odd one.”

The accompanying music video for “Nephilim” is a true visual masterpiece created by François Chatain. Known for his work on “La Clé” and “Bosseur” with Tiakola, Chatain captures the essence of Zed‘s music with cinematic finesse, thus enriching the auditory experience.
