Seth Gueko earns the first gold-certified single of his career with “Titi Parisien Remix”. A symbolic milestone for an artist who, even on the first installment of “Titi Parisien Remix”, had already surrounded himself with prestigious collaborators such as Oxmo Puccino and Nekfeu.
To celebrate this major achievement, Seth Gueko brings together some of Paris’ finest lyricists — from X-Men to ATK, including the Scred Connexion and Rocca from La Cliqua — all invited to jump on “Titi Parisien 2”. The result is a massive posse cut featuring Jarod, Haroun, Davodka, L.I.K, Hayce Lemsi, Costa, Loko, Rocca, Matcap, and Kanoé, narrated by none other than MC Jean Gab’1. A true journey through Parisian rap, stretching from the 18th arrondissement — home of the Scred Connexion — all the way to Belleville, where Kanoé first emerged.
With “Titi Parisien 2”, Seth Gueko delivers a powerful tribute to the legacy of Parisian rap.
The production is handled by the trio Hits Alive — DN, Mayer, and Martinezz — a beatmaking crew deeply tied to Seth Gueko’s career. Their imprint is present throughout his discography: “La chatte à Mireille”, “Bad Cowboy”, “Open Bar”, “Professeur Punchline”, “Lucille 2”… and many other classics. Their boom bap — raw, clear, and razor-sharp — acts as a blank canvas, giving full space to the assembled lyricists. A true showcase of craft, with Seth Gueko orchestrating the finest pens in French rap.
Haroun sets the tone:
“We know it’s the racists movin’ their pieces, controllin’ the machine
Dishing out the fat (the fat), gentrification ain’t savin’ nobody from the cke-cra”
L.I.K makes a striking return:
“We drink from limestone fountains, woken up by sirens
Stop by the homies for a pack of knock-off smokes
Violent like the price of furnished apartments”
La Kalash humaine drops a sharp verse:
“We know the price of gold and the price of death, closets full of gold and Under Armour”
Seth Gueko wraps it up in his signature style:
“I pull up, Parisian titi, African gris-gris
Yeah yeah, that kick is clean — done with American rap”
Shot mostly inside the bar Le Titi Parisien in Paris’ 10th arrondissement, the video stands as an honest tribute to the northern side of the capital. It revisits the neighborhoods that shaped Parisian rap across generations: La Cliqua, ATK, X-Men, the Scred Connexion, all the way to the new wave represented by Kanoé. The clip also shows Seth Gueko proudly presenting his gold record alongside Oxmo Puccino. The video is directed by Itsawrap, a rising filmmaker who recently dropped the latest 2Mètres and crafted a standout collaboration between Alkpote and Gazo.
