Tiakola feat Dave – Meridian

Tiakola represents the ascent of an extraordinary artist. In 2022, he unveils his project “Melo” with collaborations including Gazo, Niska, Rsko, Hamza, and SDM. Thanks to this project, he achieves a double platinum record certification. His style as a melomaniac, sometimes joyful and sometimes melancholic, resonates with fans of French rap. He also collaborates with the English artist Dave, who has indeed embarked on partnerships with Central CEE in 2023 and Stormzy in 2021, a legend in Grime.

Just like his collaboration with Central CEE, the instrumental composition is crafted by Joe Caleb and Kyle Evans. Both artists evolve in a similar style that leaves room for vocals, with an instrumental production drawing from the Brazilian Baile Funk wave that influences rap, yet without imposing it (in terms of rhythm).

In addition to the track “Meridian”, which was accompanied by a music video, the two artists have also revealed another single titled “Special”. These summertime sessions between the two musicians fit perfectly into an era ripe for collaborations. The music video was shot in the streets of London and Paris.
