For Soolking and Gims, it’s “Carré ok”!

Soolking made waves in 2022 with his ambitious project “Sans visa”, featuring notable collaborations with Naps, Heuss L’Enfoiré, Reynmen, Kendji Girac, Tayc, and Rim’K. Since then, he has continued to dominate the charts with standout tracks, including “Casanova” featuring Gazo. A member of the Affranchis Music label and a former member of Africa Jungle, Soolking has established himself as one of the most-listened-to artists in France. Just like Gims, he often ventures into Pop territory, constantly reinventing his musical style.

Meanwhile, Gims has been breaking records with diamond-certified albums since his debut solo project “Subliminal”. As a key figure of the Sexion d’Assaut, he has built an impressive solo career, marked by numerous successes and Sacem royalties rivaling those of Soprano. Recently, he added another gem to his collection with a new collaboration, following “Après vous Madame” (from “Le Fléau”) and the remix of “Guérilla”, which also featured Sofiane.

For Soolking and Gims, it’s “Carré ok”!

The instrumental for this track is crafted by a stellar quartet: Maximum Beats, Alban Chance, Soolking, and Gims. Maximum Beats, a regular collaborator of Gims, is behind iconic tracks such as “Vent du Nord”, “Te Amo”, and “Thémistocle”. He also worked with the Sexion d’Assaut on “Cheval de Troie”, and produced the previous collaboration between Gims and Soolking, “Après vous Madame”. Alban Chance, on the other hand, has collaborated with Soolking on the track “Only You”.

Rhythmic, club-ready, and brimming with irresistible energy, this track is poised to become a winter anthem.

With a touch of irony, the two artists deliver lyrics that are both lighthearted and thought-provoking, despite the undeniably danceable vibe of the track:

“If I ever can’t pay, will you forget me?
Will you remember who I was, your fake friendship exposed?”

The dynamic and vibrant visuals were directed by Soolking and Nabym Ben Bakar. Nabym is a renowned director, known for high-quality music videos like “Mon Roi” by Youssoupha, “Criminel” by Bramsito, and “À la base” by PLK.
