Saamou and KLN are “Hypé”!

0

A month ago, Saamou released his project Impact, an ambitious album featuring collaborations with Sassy and KLN from L2B. Today, he continues promoting his album by unveiling the visuals for his collaboration with KLN.

Hailing from the 19th arrondissement of Paris, close to artists like Guy2bezbar and Leto from Porte de Saint-Ouen, Saamou has made a name for himself in the drill wave that has taken over the Parisian rap scene in recent years. However, with Impact, he broadens his musical horizons, offering a more accessible and diverse sound. His collaboration with KLN perfectly embodies this evolution, delivering a lighter vibe with an easy listening feel.

Saamou and KLN are “Hypé”!

Like many artists from the drill scene, Saamou is undergoing a transformation to expand his artistic direction. His latest track, Hypé, is a perfect example of this shift.

The production, crafted by the talented Daxial and Sevscro, brings a fresh musical color. Daxial, a renowned beatmaker, has worked with Ninho on the track Coffrer and has also produced instrumentals for Kozi and La Kadrilla. He previously collaborated with Saamou on French Drill 6, in a completely different style.

With Hypé, Saamou and KLN bring a spirit of resilience and infectious energy. Less raw and subversive than previous releases, this track aims for a more unifying vibe, aligning more with KLN and L2B‘s style.

A polished artistic direction

Kefa‘s artistic direction enhances the visual with a striking black-and-white aesthetic, contrasting the artists’ success with their roots in the streets. Saamou and KLN, having come a long way, share their journey with authenticity and display a warrior mindset, inspired by the Vietkong spirit. This track marks a crucial moment in their artistic evolution.

Behind the camera, Real MRV and Romain deliver a sharp visual execution under the production of Fanatik Prod, a key player in French rap. Real MRV has recently made a name for himself with the direction of Fais les danser by Andjoo, as well as Jungle by Hatik and De la Fontaine by Beendo Z.
