Rohff made a significant impact last year by releasing his ambitious project Fitna on the first day of summer. In Islamic terminology, fitna represents internal strife among Muslims, a weighty theme that the artist skillfully incorporates into his work. This impressive project includes collaborations with iconic figures of French rap, such as Le Rat Luciano, Big Ali, Intouchable, AP, Chil-P, and Lyna Mahyem. Among the standout tracks is the eponymous Fitna, a nearly 14-minute piece that echoes the intensity of classics like Regretté and Génération sacrifiée. This track could well become a new cornerstone in Roh2F‘s discography, as he delves into his life experiences and mindset with striking sincerity.
Recently, Rohff also surprised fans by dropping the explosive single Tout éteindre, a track that does not appear on the Fitna playlist.
Rohff wants to “shut everything down”!
The instrumental composition for this track is credited to BXL Beat, a longtime collaborator of Rohff. The duo has already left a mark with tracks like Hall Of Fame, Ne me juge pas, Tout passe from the album Grand Monsieur, and Ogee, Stabilisé, and Walking Dead from Fitna. Staying true to his style, BXL Beat delivers a solid, hard-hitting production that perfectly aligns with Rohff‘s musical tradition. The rapper unleashes his incisive flow, declaring himself ready to “rap like it’s 1946.”
The punchlines, as always, are sharp and impactful:
“I’m not the media’s chosen one but the voice of the people who rise, 9.4”
And also:
“I’ve won it all, the Ancelotti routine, I’ve lost everything except my soul and appetite”
Finally:
“Among the YouPorn slackers, clowns, and clones, I grab the devil by the horns, making rap that’s next level.”
The music video, featuring Rohff on the move, was directed by Lias Empeza. This director, who previously helmed the monumental 10-minute video for Fitna, continues to elevate the artist’s visual universe.
