PLK is accustomed to creative releases. After collaborating on an album with his audience, he unveils a staggered project titled “Chambre 140”. Each week, a new section of the album is released. The third part of the album was revealed last Friday with collaborations from Jul and Vacra. He unveils the visual for his collaboration with Jul titled “Faut Pas”.
PLK and Jul delve into the theme of a strained friendship in “Faut Pas”!
Jul and PLK have already released a track together. It was “Postiché”, extracted from Jul‘s project “La route est longue”. PLK, already widely followed since his early days, achieved fame with the album “Enna”. It is certified triple platinum with this project. In an interview with abcdr du son in 2020, we learn that “Enna” is actually a tribute to his younger brother and sister: “My first album, I knew it would be called Polak and that Enna would come sooner or later. It’s something that doesn’t change, the contraction of the names of my younger brother and sister, it won’t change tomorrow, so it’s something that was anchored in me.”
The track “Faut pas” is extracted from “Chambre 140 Partie 3”. The instrumental composition of the track is by Boumidjal and Holomob. The former member of the Double X and his dedicated collaborators (Holomob) have shaped some of the biggest successes in the Rap game, such as the hit “Distant” by Booba and Maes, or “Goulag” by Kaaris. Recently, they participated in the tribute of PNL for “Gaza” in the eponymous track. The rhythmic and guitar-sample-driven instrumental production is the perfect meeting point between the styles of Jul and PLK. Both rappers maintain their respective styles, blending seamlessly on this sumptuous production.
The simple and effective music video, shot in an abandoned area, is the work of Hani Azzoug. The photographer and director has recently completed an Adidas advertisement with Achraf Hakimi. He is actively involved in the rap scene and beyond.
