Niro and Naza join forces on Cinderella

Niro unveiled his new project Hayati (Episode 1) on July 4. Upon release, the album sold nearly 6,000 copies in its first week, confirming the artist’s undeniable place in the French rap scene. The project features high-profile collaborations with Naza, Gazo, and TIF. During an appearance on Booska-P two months ago, Niro jokingly admitted that “if someone had told him ten years ago he’d be singing like this, he wouldn’t have believed it.” More seriously, he added that he still “raps the streets”, reminding us that “the streets also carry emotions.”

Already certified Gold with Sale môme, the artist has just released the visuals for his track in collaboration with Naza. On this song, Niro steps away from his usual hard-edged rap persona to deliver something softer and more melodic. Titled Cinderella (French for Cendrillon), the track contrasts with the darker world of Téléphone and its dramatic Cendrillon. Instead, it offers a brighter, more intimate story of love.

Niro and Naza join forces on Cinderella

The instrumental for Cinderella was crafted by the trio Bastano, SS10, and TizzProd—long-time collaborators within Niro’s universe. SS10, in particular, has worked on standout tracks such as Indéfendable, Chaque feu, Plus pareil, Comme ça c’est clair, Everyday, and Khalini. With its afrobeat-inspired groove, the track unfolds in a light, atmospheric way. Far from the rap battles that built his early reputation, Niro takes the risk of singing more than rapping—revealing a fresh side to his artistry.

Niro’s verses poetically capture the struggles of love:

You’ve gone so far away, so what am I doing here?
Waiting for you to come back, you’re nothing but a mirage
I wouldn’t feel this bad if you were here.

Naza, true to his warm and playful style, balances the duo with a lighter touch:

Girl, I hang up when you call
And when it all blows up, we make the pair
No more war, we’re making peace, baby, oh baby, oh.

The video, shot inside a mansion, alternates between intimate shots of the two artists and the haunting presence of a vixen—a sensual, elusive figure, like a mirage fading the closer you get. Behind the camera, Fanatik Prod delivers another standout visual, following previous work on clips such as Hypé by KLN & Saamou, Baby Boo by Kpoint, Naza and Joé Dwèt Filé, and Energy by Bramsito.
