MRC is a Turkish rapper originally from Strasbourg. In his youth, he had dreams of becoming a football player. At the age of 12, he left his family to join the training center of Racing Club de Strasbourg, where he stayed for eight years. Muhammed was selected for the youth national teams of France and Turkey, and he also played for Besiktas. Despite his love for football, injuries led him to reflect on his future. However, his life took a decisive turn when he posted a 15-second freestyle video on his Instagram account, which changed everything for him. Muhammed then became MRC.
Making the difficult decision to pursue a musical career turned out to be a new path for him. His first single, titled “Paix sans guerre”, went gold in France, and his first Turkish song, “Vermedin”, garnered 200 million views. Today, his channel has nearly 400 million views.
After a two-year hiatus, MRC returns and presents his new single “Sevme Beni”, performed in Turkish and French, with a production featuring Drill influences. The track was produced by Amnesia Beats & Kaleen. The instrumental production, composed of piano notes combined with eerie sounds, signifies MRC’s musical style transformation. While performing on this Drill beat in Turkish and French, the artist maintains his rap style, oscillating between kickage and singing.
The music video, directed by Görkem Ekici Films, takes place in a deserted and unsettling urban landscape, intensifying the ominous atmosphere portrayed in the video.
