Moubarak continues to carve his artistic path with determination. In 2025, he unveils the EP Solide, a project featuring collaborations with Ghost Dog and Igrek. First emerging in the wake of Jul, under the banner of Or et Platine, the rapper initially made a name for himself with a style “à la Jul” — a sound that quickly spread across France, throughout Europe, and even reached Sweden, according to Moubarak himself. Yet he soon broke free from those boundaries to explore new sonic directions.
With the EP Épreuves, he takes a bold turn: a concept album that breaks away from “Thug Life” clichés and embraces a more introspective, unconventional path.
Now, the artist returns with Message — a deeply personal track at the crossroads of singing and rap, built on a haunting solo piano. Far from the typical summer bangers and overproduced hits, the track creates a more intimate, melancholic mood.
Moubarak opens up in “Message”
With a stripped-down production centered around a lone piano, Moubarak bares his soul, sharing doubts, reflections, and raw emotions. His voice drifts between fragile singing and rough-edged rap — a rare vulnerability in today’s scene. His latest EP, Solide, reflects this shift: a diverse, genre-blending project where Moubarak dares to push boundaries and reinvent himself.
Some lyrics reveal a dark, almost disillusioned clarity:
“Listen with your ears, stop running your mouth,
Try to catch my message, and tell me if it hits you.”“No need to play a part, I’m not into that,
Right now, it’s not funny — but don’t worry, my blood.”
The video, made from archival footage, was crafted by longtime collaborator Dbr, who previously directed the visuals for the track Boosté.
