Moha MMZ bares his heart in Graffiti!

In 2024, Moha MMZ took a bold artistic turn with La Plage. The album borrows its name from the cult film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Virginie Ledoyen, and Guillaume Canet, which follows a group of young people who leave everything behind in search of another life. A symbolic nod, since in an interview with France Inter, Moha MMZ explained: “La Plage is a state of mind.” For him, the project stems from an intimate dive, a personal quest to build a body of work that truly reflects who he is. With the support of Nk.f—the iconic sound engineer behind PNL—he created an ethereal, almost dreamlike universe, enhanced by visuals shot in Japan and presented as a spiritual journey.

Now more mature and evolved, the artist unveils his latest single Graffiti. True to that atmospheric vibe, the track delves into his doubts in the face of new love, standing out for its rare sincerity.

On Genius and streaming platforms, the authorship of the song is credited to Jules Dolbeau, an enigmatic name with no backstory attached. Yet one constant remains: the presence of Nk.f, the loyal sonic architect once again by his side. Driven by airy textures reminiscent of 2-step, Graffiti feels like an unfiltered confession, worlds away from formulaic rap braggadocio.

“Why dream if you’re not here?
Once again, it hurts too much
I rediscover love, full of erasures.”

With Graffiti, Moha MMZ extends the path he began with La Plage: that of a rapper unafraid to bare his soul. A sincere and poetic track, carried by elegant production, that confirms both his evolution and his artistic ambition.
