The Belleville rapper is making a powerful comeback with his latest project, En attendant la suite. A key figure in Paris’s 19th arrondissement, he has assembled a dream team, delivering a true All-Star Game featuring Marvelous, Bimbim, Demi Portion, Oxmo Puccino, and K-Reen—the latter already known for her work with Mystik on the classic track Le Fruit défendu. Also joining the lineup are L’Allemand and RBK. Balancing longtime collaborators with legends of Parisian rap such as Oxmo Puccino and Demi Portion, known for his commitment to “never deceiving his audience”, Mister You is refining his artistic vision and crafting an explosive “sequel” with this EP set to leave a lasting impression.

As a teaser, he drops the single Ghetto You, taken from the project, alongside a hard-hitting music video shot in Thailand. True to his style, he delivers razor-sharp flows and punchlines, proving once again that he hasn’t lost his edge.

The production on Ghetto You is handled by Steff Becker, a heavyweight in the French beatmaking scene. He has crafted standout tracks like Fantôme and Assoces for SCH and contributed to the collective project 13 Organisé, with placements on L’étoile sur le maillot, 13 Balles, and Partout c’est la même. While Jul is undeniably the mastermind behind the “Jul-style beats” that have taken over Paris, Marseille, and even Spain, Mister You was one of the first to embrace this energetic vibe. From the start, he stood out with his distinctive flow, razor-sharp punchlines, and a natural affinity for high-energy beats. Ghetto You is a prime example of what he does best.

The opening punchline sets the tone and pays tribute to a legendary figure in French rap:

“Like Rohff Housni, my life is pure Ghetto Youth.”

He follows up with some hard-hitting bars:

“Dealers get 15 years / Pedophiles get 4 / Robbers get 22, they’ll never see a Play 4.”

And, true to his reputation, Mister You doesn’t hold back:

“Born on the land of the colonizers, I’m rather resentful / Fuck this country of ceursu, we won’t give them a cunni.”

The video, shot in Thailand, showcases the rapper in an authentic local setting, notably around a traditional boxing camp. Mister You fully immerses himself in the culture and integrates it into his musical universe. The video is directed by Klade, who also worked on the visuals for Je la connais by Chily.
