On October 23, Maes dropped his latest album, La vie continue, showcasing an impressive lineup with major features from PLK, Werenoi, Ninho, and JRK 19. This project represents a new chapter for a rapper who has always stood out for his authenticity. After the release of his previous album, Réelle Vie 3.0, Maes faced tension within his team. Having been in open conflict with Booba for several years, Maes is now in the midst of a new clash with Lacrim. The two artists have exchanged disstracks, drawing on American-style lyrical showdowns that are both bold and creative. Today, Maes reveals the video for Sans Boussole, one of the standout tracks from La vie continue.
Maes unveils the visuals for “Sans Boussole”!
The instrumental for this track is crafted by the talented Boumidjal, formerly of Double X, and the duo Holomob. Boumidjal and Holomob form a prolific partnership, having already produced hits like Distant by Maes, Je t’aime de ouf by Wejdene, and Goulag by Kaaris. Known for their ability to create compelling hits, this trio once again delivers with Sans Boussole, enhancing its powerful appeal.
The video, shot outdoors in bright sunlight, captures a relaxed Maes surrounded by glamorous vixens, juxtaposed with intense and realistic lyrics that reflect the tough realities of the streets: “Quelques res-fré partis trop tôt / Même dans palace, j’ai l’cœur serré comme au dépôt / Beaucoup perdent d’temps, souvent menotté / Jamais balance, c’est des salopes dans leurs dépôts.”
The video direction is by the talented HYPNOZ, known for his polished visuals. Previously, he directed Reste Solo for DA Uzi and, more recently, the Brother Mouzone freestyle for Dinos, which also heralds the announcement of Dinos’s upcoming album.
