It seems that the choice of the album title, “Week-end à Marseille“, is not coincidental. On an instrumental composition in the style of Jul signed by Marty Pogo, who has already accompanied the rapper on tracks such as “Lala“, “Pour toujours“, and “Netflix“, Lujipeka is seen sitting on a couch, wearing headphones.

Lujipeka is a member of Colombine, a group named after Gus Van Sant’s Palme d’Or. The group was formed in Rennes within a film collective, and references to cinema abound, both in Colombine and in Lujipeka‘s solo projects.

The rapper brilliantly kicks off his “Week-end à Marseille“ by adopting a style born around Notre-Dame de la Garde, which has since won over all of Europe. The video is shot in a single continuous take, constituting a true artistic performance.
