Lesram is gearing up to release his new project Malvado this Friday, November 21. Originally from Le Pré-Saint-Gervais in the 93 district and former member of the collective Panama Bende, the rapper has forged a singular identity, blending the lyrical strength inherited from previous generations with a modern, forward-thinking approach—both in sound and in themes. In 2024, he told Mosaïque magazine that his collaboration with Nekfeu had completely reshaped his career. The real turning point came after the release of San Andreas, when he decided to make rap his full-time profession:
“I decided to quit my delivery job as soon as ‘San Andreas’ with Nekfeu dropped. It boosted me a lot. I must’ve gone from 30,000 to 200,000 monthly listeners.”
The artist recently unveiled the single Takita, the first glimpse of this upcoming project—an introspective and bitter-tinged track.
Lesram lifts the curtain on his world with Takita!
The track’s production is handled by Elio & Selman Faris.
Elio, a beatmaker from Panama Bende, has been highly active in recent years, collaborating with Jolagreen23 (1.2.3, 12 heures minuit), Gambi (“On s’taille”), and PLK (EA7).
Selman, bassist and guitarist, regularly works alongside artists such as PLK, Sneazzy, or Nekfeu. He also delivered several key productions on Les étoiles vagabondes.
The track carries a slightly dreamlike atmosphere, built around soft Ney samples and airy wind arrangements.
Lesram delivers several reflections on life—often raw, sometimes fatalistic:
“For some raclis, they lose their minds, replaying the Trojan War
She left, you took it hard, felt like losing weight
A quick tip: keep close the ones who are proud of you.”
And also:
“If they don’t wanna pay me mine, I’ll go steal theirs (theirs)
Only hustlers, but in the jungle, there’s no after-sales service.”
The music video alternates between scenes filmed inside a neighborhood elevator and wide-open outdoor shots, symbolizing a youth yearning for escape from the concrete towers that confine them. The visual is directed by BLEU DESERT, who also crafted Halla by Ziak and Enfance by 7 Jaws.
