With the five-track EP Hakuna Matata, Léa Churros and Algéric are well on their way to becoming one of the most exciting duos on the Afro-Creole music scene.
Both artists hail from La Réunion, where they have blended their respective worlds to deliver a radiant project that celebrates joy, authenticity, and artistic freedom—true to its title, Hakuna Matata, which had already been introduced earlier through a self-titled music video.
Léa Churros has established herself as a key figure in the new generation of Réunionese music, thanks to a distinctive voice capable of conveying a wide range of emotions. Algéric is following a similar path, steadily carving out his own place on the scene. Together, they generate a strong creative synergy on this colorful EP, where pop, zouk, and Afro rhythms seamlessly intertwine.
With instantly catchy hooks, Léa and Algéric invite listeners into the vibrant universe they have created. Their collaboration symbolizes the union of two talents pushing the boundaries of Réunion’s music scene, while staying true to the sounds that shaped their success. The duo also takes the opportunity to welcome other talented artists on the project, including Varaine Ben, Mikl, Pix’L, and Judith.
