La Mano 1.9 and Ninho Join Forces on “FBI”, Play To Sky’s Breakthrough Release

July 13, 2026

Play To Sky is the new label founded by Babs PLR in partnership with Play Two and Believe. More than just a traditional record label, the venture was designed to fit today’s streaming-driven music industry, allowing artists to collaborate on standalone singles or short-term projects without the constraints of long-term recording deals. The former producer of Werenoi continues to push a more flexible business model, one built around the fast-paced consumption habits of digital platforms. For its latest release, Play To Sky brings together two generations of French rap: Ninho, one of the genre’s biggest stars, and La Mano 1.9, one of the scene’s fastest-rising newcomers.

Since 2024, La Mano 1.9 has established himself as one of the most exciting new faces in French rap. His hard-hitting drill freestyles quickly caught the public’s attention before taking over TikTok. Yet the rapper refuses to be labelled as nothing more than a social media phenomenon. Asked about it by Booska-P during the show 24H avec La Mano, he confidently replied: “What does a TikTok rapper have to envy about any other rapper?”.

The numbers speak for themselves. In 2025, he released his debut project R.A.T., a critically acclaimed body of work featuring Tiakola, Vacra, and SDM. The single “Sexy Woman” earned Platinum certification, while the rapper was crowned Male Breakthrough Artist of the Year at Les Flammes, France’s premier hip-hop awards ceremony. After selling out both La Cigale and the Zénith, La Mano 1.9 now reaches another milestone by teaming up with Ninho for the very first time on “FBI”.

At this point, Ninho hardly needs an introduction. With five Diamond-certified projects—a record unmatched in French rap—alongside multiple Platinum and Triple Platinum releases, he continues to redefine the standards of commercial success in the genre. His latest project, M.I.L.S 4, achieved Gold certification within its very first week, once again proving his remarkable consistency. By pairing Ninho with La Mano 1.9, Play To Sky connects one of French rap’s greatest icons with one of its brightest emerging talents.

La Mano 1.9 and Ninho Team Up for the First Time on “FBI”

The production behind “FBI” is handled by Mousta, YungOnTheTrack, Camaya, Lester, and Yacine Music. Together, the five producers represent some of the strongest creative forces currently shaping the sound of French trap and drill.

Camaya, in particular, has become one of the most sought-after producers in the French rap scene. His résumé includes collaborations with Ninho on “5 Bleus”, Ashe22 on “7AR”, Nahir and Freeze Corleone on “Moneygram Part 3”, as well as Joysad on “Enfers”. His signature sound is built around cold, cinematic and minimalist productions.

Mousta, meanwhile, has notably worked with Seth Gueko on “J’veux des sous”, while Lester and YungOnTheTrack bring an international touch to the record. Together, they craft a dark, tense and electrifying instrumental. Although both La Mano 1.9 and Ninho have shown they can embrace more melodic sounds, “FBI” sees them returning to the raw street atmosphere that first defined their identities.

On “FBI”, La Mano 1.9 delivers a relentless display of lyrical bravado:

“J’vais, j’vais les désactiver, ils sont pas réactifs, khouya, les comptes ils sont carrés, on chill.
C’est mes gosses, j’leur ai mis la tétine, en primaire ça volait même la coopérative.”

Ninho, true to form, balances swagger with razor-sharp punchlines:

“J’ai pas de darons dans la tess, c’est moi qui compte, personne peut me gronder.
Jacuzzi, dix tapins, j’ai le zingué, les feux, photo pour le magazine.”

Released at the height of the summer, “FBI” doesn’t try to tick every box of the traditional “summer anthem”. Instead of chasing seasonal trends, Ninho and La Mano 1.9 stay true to their artistic identity. It’s a growing trend across French rap: rather than manufacturing a summer hit, artists now let streaming platforms, social media—and ultimately the audience—decide which songs become the soundtrack of the season.
