Last January, Koba LaD released a collaborative album with his “Frenemy”, Zola. When Zola‘s mother passed away in 2022, Koba LaD sent him a condolence message. As he recounted to Interlude Belgique, DJ Kore‘s protégé was deeply moved by the message from his frenemy: “It touched me, after that we could sit around a table and talk. (…) He did a real man’s thing.” This reconciliation gave birth to the album “Frères Ennemis”!
He has just made his grand comeback with “Freestyle BMF #1”. With a powerful video, Koba is back with a vengeance. The leader of Seven Binks reconnects with his roots through a very street-style freestyle.
Koba LaD makes a powerful comeback with “Freestyle BMF”!
The instrumental composition of this track is the work of the trio Chapo, Ken & Ryu, and SHK. This impressive group of producers has left their mark. A member of Narcos, Chapo has composed tracks like “Jauné” for Booba and Zed, as well as “Bâtiment” for Niska. Ken & Ryu, named after the “Street Fighter” game, have previously collaborated with Koba LaD, notably on the track “Coffre Plein”. As for SHK, he has worked with top artists such as Central CEE, Gazo, Alonzo, and Niska. Together, these beatmakers have crafted a minimalistic yet fundamentally explosive production.
Koba LaD showcases his unique style, with his elusive flow and somewhat disjointed style. He delivers an ego trip he’s known for:
"I saw them when I fell, those sons of bitches were mocking me I don’t care about you, I don’t like your weed"
In line with the track, the visual is a deluxe street video directed by Hustler Game Premium. Active for over ten years, working with both stars and independent rappers, the production company recently handled the visuals for Bahysa on “Jamais contente” and for Lamatrix and Leto on “VDM”.
