Joysad : standing at the gates of *Enfers* !

In 2022, Joysad released the reissue of his standout projects *Espace Temps* and *Transparent*, featuring high-profile collaborations with artists like Tsew The Kid, Sofiane, and Heuss L’Enfoiré. Recently, he made a powerful comeback with a new single: *Enfers*. This track, with its vivid imagery, intensely portrays a personal moment of struggle.

Joysad : standing at the gates of *Enfers* !

The year 2022 was particularly significant for Joysad. In an interview with the media outlet *Toulouseblog*, the artist from Périgueux shared: *”I experienced it as a sort of liberation. There was that Covid period where I released two EPs, but what a terrible time it was! My momentum came to a sudden halt. Everything was going well before that pause. I had to stay focused on my music and my project to avoid giving up. 2022 unlocked everything. I felt like something was happening.”*

The music production of *Enfers* is a collaborative effort between HRNN and Camaya. HRNN, a well-known beatmaker from Toulouse, has already produced tracks such as *Centre commercial* for Ninho, as well as *Trou de Boulette* and *Rue de la Fortune* for DTF, not to mention *Diva* for RK. As for Camaya, he has crafted tracks like *Poète noir* for Kery James and *Main moite* for Lacrim. The composition, with its slow tempo and melancholic piano notes, wraps the listener in an introspective atmosphere, perfectly aligned with the theme of emotional emptiness that Joysad explores.

In this track, the artist reveals a vulnerability rarely seen before, delivering deeply emotional lines:

“Without happiness ever showing up
I never thought I’d suffer this much
We clenched our fists so tightly
My nails bled into the palms of my hands”

The black-and-white video further amplifies this dark and oppressive atmosphere. We see Joysad pulling on chains, a visual allegory of the expression *”tirer le diable par la queue”* (literally “pulling the devil by the tail”). It’s a beautiful metaphor to illustrate the internal struggle. The video was directed by Béton Films, who previously collaborated with MC Solaar seven months ago on the music video for *Pierre Feuille*.
