More than just a freestyle, this track is a bold concept, offering HMZ a fresh way to introduce himself to his audience.

HMZ unveils “V”!

From the very first scenes, the visual draws us into a black-and-white atmosphere, both stark and intriguing. The opening, set in a dark room, portrays a gathering of influential figures before the focus shifts to the studio. The artist takes us on a journey, reflecting on his street experiences while navigating his transition into a burgeoning music career.

The instrumental, a modern take on Boom Bap, is crafted by the talented Voluptyk. This beatmaker, associated with the prestigious label Affranchis Music, is already renowned for iconic productions like “Casanova” by Gazo and Soolking, “La street” by Jul, and “Qui sait ?” by Niro. For “V”, Voluptyk delivers a composition that seamlessly blends a classic foundation with a contemporary edge. On this masterful soundscape, HMZ asserts his style with sharp delivery and chilling execution, leaving a powerful impression.

The freestyle is packed with striking punchlines, showcasing the razor-sharp writing of HMZ. Notable lines include:

“Before breaking into music, I broke into the halls, bro, you needed broad shoulders.”

“Childhood under the concrete, no croissants with butter, let them believe I’m just a rapper.”

The visual, minimalist yet striking in its black-and-white palette, concludes with a gripping freestyle sequence in the studio. Directed by Fuko, a longtime collaborator, it follows in the footsteps of his memorable work on videos like “Pegasus” and “L’homme qui frappe à la porte”.
