HMZ kicks off “Dans la tempête” with “Rafale Léao”

HMZ is making a powerful comeback with a high-stakes project: “Dans la tempête”. Surrounded by heavyweights like SDM, ElGrandeToto, and Werenoi, the rapper continues his path as a natural heir to the French-style gangsta rap. Since day one, HMZ has held a no-compromise stance—“100% anti-zumba”—from his iconic freestyle “V”, to “Pour nos ennemis” with Lacrim, and now his latest hard-hitting collaboration with SDM, featured on this new album.

To launch the project, he drops a striking first track: “Rafale Léao”. A direct nod to the AC Milan star, the track hits as hard as the footballer runs fast. With a dark vibe and a monochrome aesthetic, the video opens with a flag raised high like a battle standard. HMZ stands tall as the alpha, ready to take over by force.

The beat is heavy, slow-burning, and ominous—a finely tuned trap production that gives full space to the lyrics. HMZ delivers each verse like scripture, balancing raw clarity and restrained rage. His bars hit hard and leave no room for doubt:

“One man’s misfortune is another man’s gain”
“You only realize the value of things once you lose them”
“Stop clowning, open a dictionary”

The music video, directed by Digital Nak, immerses us in HMZ’s gritty nighttime universe—deep in the heart of Seine-Saint-Denis (93). Staying true to his cinematic style, Digital Nak delivers a series of sharp, dynamic visuals. His recent work includes standout clips like “Celle-ci” by Zed, “Poison” by Dos Punto and SCH, and the collab featuring Genezio, Keblack, and L2B, as well as a link-up between Guy2Bezbar, Jolagreen23, and Green Montana.
