Last summer, Guy2Bezbar made a lasting impact with the hit “Monaco”, taken from his project “Maison Blanche”. This powerful seven-track EP, featuring collaborations with Zamdane and Tayc, concludes on a strong note with the single “Mon Année”. The artist from northern Paris wrapped up the year by unveiling a striking visual for the track, reflecting on a pivotal moment in his career in 2024.
A few weeks ago, Guy2Bezbar made waves with “Batmobile”, shot in Canada. Today, he ventures into an entirely different realm with “Bébé à moi”, a track that sees him stepping away from his usual sound. Recognized as one of the leading figures of the new gangsta rap wave in France, he showcases his versatility by embracing more melodic compositions.
Guy2Bezbar unveils “Bébé à moi”: a blend of tenderness and sincerity
The refined production of this track is credited to Junior Alaprod, the beatmaker behind the classic “Thibaut Courtois” by Shay. In recent years, he has collaborated multiple times with Guy2Bezbar, notably on “Tapie” and “Dis-moi”, featuring SDM. He also produced the latest collaboration between Genezio and Tiakola.
The instrumental, carried by delicate piano notes, serves as the backdrop for a deeply introspective Guy2Bezbar. Gone is the explosive energy—this time, he opts for a more poised and nuanced delivery.
Between egotrip and heartfelt lyrics, the rapper adopts a calm and smooth flow, far from his usual high-energy performances:
“I feel like we’ve lost time, forgive me
Bébé à moi, if I didn’t do things right, then forgive me
I’d rather be switched off than be voluntarily deprived of you”
To bring this track to life, Guy2Bezbar chose a cozy and intimate setting, placing himself in a snow-covered landscape, inside a house warmed by a fireplace. The music video, directed by Baeby Mama and produced by Digital Nak, beautifully enhances this subdued atmosphere. This talented duo, a frequent collaborator of the artist, is also behind the visuals for “Batmobile”, “Coco” (feat. Tayc), and Guy2Bezbar’s biggest hit, “Monaco”.
