Graya wanted to go on a “Tour du monde”!

A few days ago, Graya lifted the veil on his new project Vengeance Personnelle, featuring collaborations with Landy, Hornet La Frappe, Ninho, Alonzo and Jul. The Marseille rapper appears to be reaching a new artistic milestone. Shortly after, Graya also unveiled the visuals for his track Tour du monde, an introspective record where he reflects, with calm melancholy, on the constant tension between street life and the neighbourhood that shaped him.

The production is handled by L’Adjoint Skenawin, a prominent figure among southern French producers. Working from a studio that sees a steady stream of artists come through, L’Adjoint has built a reputation far beyond his region, notably by producing Toka for Sofiane. On Tour du monde, he relies on a minimalist piano loop that gives Graya the perfect backdrop to express his struggles and disillusionment:

“Je me voyais faire le tour du monde, la rue m’a volé tout mon temps.”

In a Marseille environment often overshadowed by gang-related violence, the track resonates even more strongly. The video — alternating between stylish shots of Graya and fictional scenes inspired by the city’s tense atmosphere — is directed by Massimo. The filmmaker had already collaborated with the rapper on Brouncha featuring Ninho and Alonzo, and he is also behind C’est le Ghetto by Juss and So La Zone.
