ElGrandeToto and Hamza offer us the beginning of a captivating story! On November 24th, ElGrandeToto will release his new album titled “27.” The Moroccan rapper is no stranger to the French rap scene. He particularly stood out on the Colors YouTube channel with a melancholic freestyle titled “Weld Laadoul.” He has also invited Belgian-Moroccan rapper Hamza to collaborate on a poetic track accompanied by a visually cinematic video.
ElGrandeToto and Hamza offer us the beginning of a captivating story!
The instrumental composition of the track was crafted by the trio of beatmakers consisting of Nouvo, Double A, and Issam YNS. Nouvo is credited on many of ElGrandeToto‘s songs, as he is a true star in Morocco and enjoys a solid reputation in France. As for Double A and Issam YNS, they have previously collaborated as a duo on a track by Nahir. This composition blends oriental sounds with impactful basslines. ElGrandeToto is not the only artist to incorporate Arabic instruments or oriental influences into his songs. In France, Ziak does this regularly, as does Soolking occasionally, and the electronic music group Acid Arab is also known for this practice.
The track resembles a true fairy tale. Although the title gives the impression of being more sung than rapped, it remains dynamic. The video, impeccably directed by SOUFIANE JARRAF, ТАНА FAHSSI, & MAXIMUS MARCUS, recalls the visuals of Lartiste‘s latest album, as it is highly scripted. A beautiful storyline that narrates the love story of a young boxer, a tale with which many listeners can identify.
This marks a highly successful introduction for ElGrandeToto.
