After a period of soul-searching, which he captures in a short film teaser, Dosseh makes a powerful comeback with “Trop tôt pour mourir”, an ambitious project featuring collaborations with Tiakola, Zed, Werenoi, Leto, Lacrim, Dinos, Momsii, Josman, and Tayc. As the brother of Pit Baccardi, Dosseh carries the same talent for sharp punchlines and lyrics that resonate deeply. He also drops a hard-hitting single, “Yezzir”, a true creative burst that marks the start of a new chapter for the artist.
Dosseh hits hard with the blazing “Yezzir”!
The explosive production of this track is crafted by DLS, a German producer who has worked extensively with Luciano, particularly on his collaboration with Niska for “Blue Porshe”. The track, rich in bass and driving rhythms, allows Dosseh to deliver a sharp flow, perfectly aligned with the beat.
The rapper drops a few memorable punchlines, such as “It only takes one bad day to turn the greatest hero into a villain”, and “I don’t sip Lean, I don’t pop Percs / But I’ll still reach Nirvana like Kurt”, a clear reference to Kurt Cobain, the legendary leader of the band Nirvana, who tragically died from an overdose. This dark chapter in his life even inspired the film “Last Days”, directed by Gus Van Sant. With “Yezzir”, Dosseh showcases a mastery of his flow, unlike anything we’ve seen from him before.
The video, both simple and strikingly effective, is directed by Hustler Games. This production company recently worked on the visuals for “Doucement” by Niaks, as well as the collaboration between l’Algérino and Soolking in “Roméo”.
