Driven by an artistic sensibility shaped from an early age, Diomède King follows a path where music, dance, and well-being naturally intertwine. Influenced by the sounds of Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Koffi Olomidé, Papa Wemba, and Sisqó, the artist developed early on a keen ear for rhythm, movement, and positive vibrations.
At just 13 years old, dance emerged as an instinctive — almost vital — language. Hip-hop, afro dance, salsa: Diomède King explored multiple disciplines before realizing that movement was his true vehicle for emotion and energy. He named this inner force “gwa”, a positive vibration capable of transforming a simple step into a deeper form of expression. This holistic approach to body and mind later led him to become a djembel instructor and coach, offering afro-inspired cardio sessions where physical effort becomes a space for inner connection.
In 2016, Diomède King began envisioning a future fully rooted in music. He recorded his first tracks under the name Diamant Noir, drawing inspiration from everyday life, contemporary realities, and the lived experiences of those around him. A sincere, grounded form of writing that quickly resonated with audiences.
After gaining attention with “Ba chérie”, followed by “Ti quiero” in 2020 — a track widely praised for its catchy hook and carefully crafted visuals — the artist continued to shape his journey through songs carrying positive messages, such as “Atitude positive”, released in the summer of 2021.
With “Shayo”, Diomède King naturally extends this momentum. The track fits seamlessly into his artistic universe: a bright, festive sound deeply rooted in Afro cultures, celebrating release, joy, and togetherness. “Shayo” embodies his desire to spread positive energy and make both bodies and minds vibrate, staying true to the artist’s core DNA.
At the crossroads of dance, music, and well-being, Diomède King asserts with “Shayo” a singular identity — that of an artist for whom every note, every rhythm, and every movement is conceived as a source of energy, connection, and shared human experience.
