DA Uzi chooses to stay “Solo”!

Over the years, Sevran has risen to become a true stronghold of French rap, and in 2022, DA Uzi released his iconic project “Le Chemin des Braves”, featuring a legendary lineup of artists such as Kery James, Lacrim, Oldpee, Sofiane Pamart, Naps, Ninho, and of course, Lacrim once again. These All-Star collaborations marked a significant chapter in his life, which had been filled with challenges. For several years, the artist had to deal with legal troubles. Yet, today, he makes a triumphant return with the single “Reste Solo”, proving that he has always managed to stay at the forefront of the scene, especially with his hard-hitting freestyle series “WeLaRue”.

Like many of his peers, DA Uzi stands out for his artistic versatility, exploring various creative directions. Yet, he always retains an unwavering authenticity in his lyrics, where a “realistic and painful” dimension shines through. When he shares his life experiences, it’s not just a pumped-up egotrip, but rather a raw realism, tinged with fatalism and tragedy. In his melancholic track “Reste Solo”, he tells his story with sincerity, sometimes bitter, but always with a deep sense of truth.

The instrumental production for this track was crafted by the talented DVGZ, a beatmaker renowned for his collaborations with Beendo Z on “Inspiré de faits réels #6”, and with Guy2bezbar on the hit “Monaco”. He has also worked with Bu$hi on several tracks. The melody, both powerful and soothing, provides DA Uzi the perfect space to express his lyrical prowess.

DA Uzi asserts himself as a talented lyricist, delivering striking punchlines such as: “Love makes you blind, brothers will stab your eyes under the rain / Outside, it’s real, ask the widow” or “You want life, sell death, money is dirty but it works / The burst made him ugly”.
